Weekend Observations

Packer Fans- The most hardcore fans not only in the NFL, but I think they have Yankee fans and Red Sox fans beat as the most hard core fans in any sport. Watching the Packers/Giants game at Barney's Beanery was awesome. There were 50 year old men wearing blocks of cheese on their heads, and 60 year old women with mardi gras beads around their necks.
Did you know Eli Manning's favorite show is Seinfeld? Well Packer fans did, they flooded their local affiliates in Green Bay that air Seinfeld reruns and got the show removed from the air over the weekend, and replaced with a Packer's special. Awesome no? Speaking of awesome, how about that Overtime Victory by the Giants. As much as I wanted to see the Packers win, and as much as I despise the whiny little Manning who has no place in a Superbowl, the game was fantastic. Until next year Brett Favre!

The Patriots- Looked a little shaky, but after 18 games going undefeated they all can't be perfect. The defense did it's job and held the Chargers far away from the end zone only allowing them to score 4 field goals. The Giants game was so great, but it was sad to think that the Giants and Packers were playing just to lose in a couple weeks. Tom Brady, history is in your reach. DO NOT mess it up!

Superbowl- February 3rd, 2008- New England Patriots Vs New York Giants.

Cloverfield- Shattered January box office records by debuting with a long weekend estimate of $47 million dollars. 27 Dresses came in 2nd place with an estimated $27 million. Both movies were fantastic. Cloverfield is def not for the weak at heart as it is completely shot on a handheld camera. At the Grove they were handing out barf bags before the movie started. I am not kidding. Make no mistake though, Cloverfield is NOT a monster movie. It's about people, and relationships in a crisis. It's what JJ Abrams does best.

Celebrities- Britney Spears has reportedly gotten a restraining order against that creepy photographer. I wonder what tipped her off that he was using her? Could it be that hes A FREAKIN PAPPARAZZI???? He must have dangled a bag of Cheetos in front of her while his buddies snuck in and took pics.
