Grammy Award Predictions!

The 50th annual Grammy's are this Sunday night, and I have to say this is the most fun awards show of the year because of all the cool collaborations, performances, and surprising wins. Much more fun than the Golden Globes, or the Oscars!

Here are my predictions for who is going to take home the big prizes! Check back Sun night for a complete listing of winners.

Record of the Year

• Beyonce - "Irreplaceable"
• Foo Fighters - "The Pretender"
• Rihanna featuring Jay-Z - "Umbrella"
• Justin Timberlake - "What Goes Around...Comes Around"
• Amy Winehouse - "Rehab"

Will Win & Should Win: Rihanna featuring Jay-Z - "Umbrella. This was easily the catchiest song of the year. If you hate hip hop, or pop music you still had the Ella, Ella, Ella ay in your head all year. though irreplaceable was also a giant hit, it peaked too early last year, and Grammy voters are a finicky bunch.

Album of the Year

• Foo Fighters - Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace
• Vince Gill - These Days
• Herbie Hancock - River: The Joni Letters
• Kanye West - Graduation
• Amy Winehouse - Back to Black

Will Win & Should Win- Kanye West- Graduation- This album will also sweep all the hip hop categories

Song of the Year

• Plain White T's - "Hey There Delilah"
• Corinne Bailey Rae - "Like a Star"
• Rihanna featuring Jay-Z - "Umbrella"
• Carrie Underwood - "Before He Cheats"
• Amy Winehouse - "Rehab"

Will Win & Should Win- Amy Winehouse - "Rehab- This is a 2 way race between Amy and Rihanna. I believe Amy will win however as Song of the Year usually is awarded to writers and producers of the actual song. Rihanna did not write Umbrella, it was written by 4 people. Amy wrote it on her own.

Best New Artist

• Feist
• Ledisi
• Paramore
• Taylor Swift

Amy Winehouse Will & Should Win- Amy Winehouse- With all the nominations she has no way she loses this one.

Best Female Pop Vocal

• Chrisina Aguilera - "Candyman"
• Feist - "1,2,3,4"
• Fergie - "Big Girls Don't Cry"
• Nelly Furtado - "Say It Right"
• Amy Winehouse - "Rehab"

Will Win- Amy Winehouse - "Rehab- Bitch is gonna clean up the Grammys

Should Win- Fergie- Big Girls Don't Cry- This was a simple song that showed Fergie could do more than move her lady lumps. With only one nomination doesn't seem like Grammy will be making Fergie's night Fergalicious.

Best Male Pop Vocal

• Michael Buble - "Everything"
• John Mayer - "Belief"
• Paul McCartney - "Dance Tonight"
• Seal - "Amazing"
• Justin Timberlake - "What Goes Around...Comes Around"

Will Win- Paul McCartney - "Dance Tonight"- Never heard of this song, but Grammys always skew old and give it away to people who don't deserve it just because they are icons (remember Steely Dan beating U2?)

Should Win- Justin Timberlake - "What Goes Around...Comes Around"- With every single song that Justin releases he continuously proves that he is destined to become a legend in this business. This one is just a great pop song with so many elements that come together and work.

Best Pop Duo or Group With Vocal

• Bon Jovi - "(You Want to) Make A Memory"
• Daughtry - "Home"
• Maroon 5 - "Makes Me Wonder"
• Plain White T's - "Hey There Delilah"
• U2 - "Window in the Skies"

Will Win & Should Win- Plain White T's - "Hey There Delilah"- Another iconic song of 2007 that the Grammy will not want to pass on especially if Rumors of Delilhah being in attendance are true.

Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals

• Tony Bennett & Christina Aguilera - "Steppin' Out"
• Beyonce & Shakira - "Beautiful Liar"
• Robert Plant & Alison Krauss - "Gone Gone Gone (Done Moved On)"
• Gwen Stefani & Akon - "The Sweet Escape"
• Timbaland featuring Nelly Furtado & Justin Timberlake - "Give It To Me"

Will Win- Tony Bennett & Christina Aguilera - "Steppin' Out- Just cause I don't think they will give it to the song that deserves it.

Should Win- Timbaland featuring Nelly Furtado & Justin Timberlake - "Give It To Me"- A diss record that hit it big

Best Pop Vocal Album

• Bon Jovi - Lost Highway
• Feist - The Reminder
• Maroon 5 - It Won't Be Soon Before Long
• Paul McCartney - Memory Almost Full
• Amy Winehouse - Back to Black

Will & Should Win- Amy Winehouse - Back to Black

Best Solo Rock Vocal

• Beck - "Timebomb"
• Paul McCartney - "Only Mama Knows"
• John Mellencamp - "Our Country"
• Bruce Springsteen - "Radio Nowhere"
• Lucinda Williams - "Come On"

Will Win- Bruce Springsteen - "Radio Nowhere"- The music industry was shocked that the boss didn't get a best album nomination. This is how the Grammy's will rectify their "mistake."

Should Win- Beck - "Timebomb- It's the best ROCK vocal, not the best OLD PEOPLE SINGING vocal.

Best Rock Duo or Group With Vocal

• Daughtry - "It's Not Over"
• Green Day - "Working Class Hero"
• Nickelback - "If Everyone Cared"
• U2 - "Instant Karma"
• The White Stripes - "Icky Thump"

Will Win- U2 - "Instant Karma"

Should Win- The White Stripes - "Icky Thump" or Daughtry - "It's Not Over"- Both great songs albeit very different in genre.

Best Hard Rock

• Evanescence - "Sweet Sacrifice"
• Foo Fighters - "The Pretender"
• Ozzy Osbourne - "I Don't Wanna Stop"
• Queens of the Stone Age - "Sick, Sick, Sick"
• Tool - "The Pot"

Best Rock Song

• Daughtry - "It's Not Over"
• Foo Fighters - "The Pretender"
• Bruce Springsteen - "Radio Nowhere"
• White Stripes - "Icky Thump"
• Lucinda Williams - "Come On"

Best Rock Album

• Daughtry - Daughtry
• John Fogerty - Revival
• Foo Fighters - Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace
• Bruce Springsteen - Magic
• Wilco - Sky Blue Sky

Will Win & Should Win- The Foo Fighters should clean up all the major Rock categories. If your nominated for album of the year then by default you should win the other categories where your nominated. Again Bruce Springsteen is the only one who could pull off a major upset here.
